Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 116.70 feet

The water levels in the Mullaperiyar and Vaigai dams are currently well within their maximum permissible limits. Recent rainfall data for the region has been recorded across several locations, including Thekkadi and Kodaikanal.

Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 116.70 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 610 cusecs and a discharge of 400 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 42.22 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 406 cusecs and a discharge of 86 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 3,021.75 mcft.
