A 70-year-old watchman was gored to death by gaur near Kamakkapatti in Theni district on Tuesday.
The police said Palsamy worked as a watchman in a mango orchard near Kamakkapatti in Theni district. While he was on duty at the orchard, a gaur, which wandered into the orchard from the nearby forest, gored him to death.
The nearby people rushed him to Theni Government Medical College and Hospital. He died on the way to the hospital. Devadanapatti police have registered a case.
