Vivo has officially unveiled the V80 smartphone, highlighting its cinematic camera capabilities and high-end display specifications. The device features a 6.59-inch OLED screen, a 7,200mAh battery, and a quad-camera system branded by ZEISS.
Why it matters
The launch represents a significant update in the competitive mid-to-high-end smartphone market, particularly in the Indian region.
After announcing the V80 Lite at the start of September, vivo started teasing the V80 with promises of a phone that can capture “cinematic moments”. The date was set for October 6, so it’s finally time to reveal the new model.
The company has already confirmed some key details for the vivo V80 . It will have a 6.59” 1.5K OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The phone will be equipped with a 7,200mAh battery with 90W charging. For comparison, its identically sized predecessor, the V70 , had a 6,500mAh battery (with the same 90W charging).
