Watch: Family escapes home during Colombia earthquake

A 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Colombia has resulted in at least 132 deaths, marking the strongest seismic event in the country this century. Families are currently dealing with the aftermath as emergency services respond to the destruction.
Why it matters
Major natural disasters in developing nations require significant international attention and humanitarian aid to address immediate loss of life and infrastructure damage.
Liliana Pérez Ocampo and her family escaped moments before their home was rocked by a 7.4 magnitude quake on Monday.
"At first, we thought it was just a mild tremor like the ones that usually happen in Colombia, but when more than 30 seconds passed and everything was shaking harder, we realised it was an earthquake," the mother-of-four told the BBC World Service.
Her family, including two young children at school, are safe.
