NEW DELHI: Slogans of “VC go back”, “VC sharam karo”, “PG hostel do” and “accountability fix karo” were raised against Delhi University vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh during a campus event Tuesday, days after the Satya Niketan PG building collapse in which several college students died.The VC was attending a discussion as a special guest on “Developed India: Hindi Language and Literature”, organised by DU’s Hindi department at the Vande Mataram auditorium in the faculty of arts.At the event, NSUI member and Campus Law Centre student Ram Niwas Bishnoi, along with several other students, stood up and began shouting the slogans against Singh.Videos circulating on social media show Bishnoi attempting to move towards the stage while questioning the VC. He says: “Sir, you are here but…”, and then staff intervene, stop him from proceeding further and force him out of the auditorium.
