Warriors Get Troubling Kristaps Porzingis Update

Kristaps Porzingis was cleared to play last week. By Monday, the Golden State Warriors were preparing to leave for training camp in Hawaii without him.

General manager Mike Dunleavy said he learned Sunday that Porzingis was dealing with a health issue, according to ESPN’s Anthony Slater. The center is out indefinitely. The Warriors have not identified the issue or offered a timetable for his return.

It is an abrupt turn for a team that brought Porzingis back this summer knowing both what he could add alongside Stephen Curry and how difficult it has been for him to stay on the floor. Now Golden State must start camp without one of the players it counted on to change the shape of its frontcourt.
