Warangal’s Mamnoor airport land acquisition completed; Telangana CM invites public to suggest names

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has invited public suggestions for naming the new airport at Mamnoor in Warangal district, as the State government has completed the required land acquisition and handed over the land to the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
In a post on social media platforms, Mr. Reddy said the State government had allocated ₹295 crore for acquiring the land required for the airport. The Airports Authority of India has since floated a tender estimated at ₹213.59 crore for construction of a new domestic terminal building, ATC tower-cum-technical block, fire station, E&M workshop and associated works at Warangal airport. The tender was published on September 14, with bids scheduled to be opened on November 9.
