Waqf Board says proposed Musi Riverfront land acquisition will not harm dargah
The Telangana Waqf Board has confirmed that land acquisition for the Musi Riverfront Development Project will not impact the Dargah Hazrat Quli Khan Sahib. A spot inspection verified that the dargah and its associated mosques are located on a different plot than the land designated for the project.

The Telangana Waqf Board on Saturday clarified that the proposed land acquisition for the Himayatsagar Bund Improvement and Eco Project, being taken up under the Musi Riverfront Development Project, will not affect the Dargah Hazrat Quli Khan Sahib.
The clarification came after concerns were raised following the Rangareddy Collectorate’s declaration issued under Form VII on July 13, proposing the acquisition of 24.22 acres of land in Dargah Kalich Khan village of Gandipet mandal.
According to the board, chairman Syed Azmatullah Husseni and the chief executive officer directed officials to conduct a detailed inquiry to determine whether any waqf properties would be impacted by the acquisition.
