A section of Walton Vale was closed this evening after a man was hit by a bus. Emergency services were called to the major road at around 8.25pm this evening, Friday, July 17, following reports of a crash. The road was shut near The Raven Wetherspoons, with officers from Merseyside Police and crews from the North West Ambulance Service in attendance. Police said the man suffered minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment. He was treated at the scene. The road has since reopened.
