A five-km walkathon to raise awareness on cardiovascular health, importance of physical activity, and preventive care was held in Chennai on Sunday to mark the upcoming World Heart Day. The ‘SIMS Rhythm of Life’ walkathon was flagged off from the hospital premises in Vadapalani by Raju Sivasamy, vice-president, SIMS Hospital, along with K. Jai Shankar, senior director and senior consultant, Cardiology, and T.S. Srinath, director and senior consultant, Cardiology. This year’s theme is ‘Heart diseases can hide in plain sight: Don’t miss a beat’.
