South Island Warriors fans are being offered a special charter flight from Christchurch to Auckland for the club’s finals clash against the Dolphins this weekend.
Air New Zealand’s “Wahs Express” will carry 160 supporters north on Saturday, with $449 packages including the one-way flight and a Category One ticket to the match at Go Media Stadium.
Flight NZ1218 will depart Ōtautahi Christchurch for Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland on Saturday, September 12, at 12.35pm, giving fans the chance to travel together before heading to the game.
Tickets for the package go on sale at midday today.
The package also includes pre-boarding activity, surprises and giveaways onboard.
Warriors superfan Lana Searle and former Warrior Awen Guttenbeil will host the flight, helping get the cabin match-ready before the aircraft has even left the gate.
Air New Zealand chief commercial officer Scott Wilkinson said the airline expected seats to sell quickly.
