MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Sara Duterte's camp inquired about bringing its own equipment and hiring its own caterer for its holding area during the impeachment trial, a request that's not unusual, Senate Secretary Renato Bantug said on Friday.
Bantug said even the prosecution team contracted their own caterer and brought in their own equipment.
"In the previous impeachment trial, I also coordinated with both panels and they also brought in some equipment," he added in a message sent to the Inquirer.
Speaking to reporters, Bantug said the requests were among the administrative and logistical matters raised by Vice President Sara Duterte's chief of staff, Office of the Vice President (OVP) Undersecretary Zuleika Lopez, during her visit to the Senate.
