Voters will teach TVK candidates a befitting lesson: EPS
AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami criticized the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) candidates ahead of upcoming byelections in Tamil Nadu. He claimed that voters would reject the TVK candidates for allegedly betraying the AIADMK party.
Why it matters
This reflects the ongoing political maneuvering and shifting alliances in Tamil Nadu's regional political landscape ahead of critical by-elections.
AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday said the voters in the Dharapuram (SC) and Madurantakam (SC) Assembly Constituencies, where byelections are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, will teach the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) candidates a befitting lesson.
“People are aware that the TVK cadre are trying to deceive them and get votes. It is certain that voters in these two constituencies would teach a befitting lesson to these two TVK candidates, who had betrayed the AIADMK,” Mr. Palaniswami said in a statement.
