The State Election Commission is updating the voters’ lists in 38 local body wards ahead of byelections. State Election Commission N. Seshadrinathan said on Saturday that the draft voters’ list will be published on July 21 and the final list, on August 19. The byelections are meant to fill vacancies that have arisen in the local bodies due to disqualification, resignation or deaths of elected members.
Applications for enrollment can be filed online on www.sec.kerala.gov.in from July 21 to August 5. Individuals who have turned 18 years on or before January 1, 2026, can add their names to the voters’ lists. Applications of overseas voters also will be accepted online (in Form 4A).
