Vizianagaram suburbs bear the brunt of damaged roads

Residents in the suburbs of Vizianagaram are reporting severe road damage that has caused accidents and daily inconvenience. Local community leaders are calling on the municipal corporation to prioritize urgent repairs to internal colony roads.
Why it matters
Infrastructure neglect in suburban areas directly impacts public safety and the quality of life for tax-paying citizens.
Poor road conditions have become a regular complaint among thousands of residents living on the outskirts of Vizianagaram. Residents of Vasant Vihar Regency, Padmavati Colony, Dharmapuri and surrounding areas have been facing inconvenience due to severely damaged roads at several places.
The road from Vasant Vihar Regency to Dharmapuri Degree College is in a particularly poor condition. A similar situation prevails on the stretch between Ice Factory Junction and Dharmapuri.
Roads from Cantonment to K.L. Puram were also damaged due to waterlogging following the recent rains in the Fort City.
Vasant Vihar Regency president B. Tulasi Prasad and general secretary Dasari Ramesh urged the Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation to take up repairs to the internal roads in the colony immediately.
