Vizag police plan free medical camp for autorickshaw drivers
The Visakhapatnam City Police are organizing a large-scale medical camp for auto-rickshaw drivers and their families. The initiative aims to improve the physical and mental health of drivers to enhance road safety.

Over 4,500 auto-rickshaw drivers and their family members are set to benefit from a free comprehensive mega medical camp that is being organised soon by the Visakhapatnam City Police. The camp is being held in collaboration with the Sri Sathya Sai Trust for Universal Welfare, Sri Sathya Sai Divyamritham, the Road Safety Forum, and the Visakha City Security Council.
During the launch of the programme at the police commissionerate, Commissioner of Police Shankabratha Bagchi said that the initiative was taken up with an aim to provide better physical and mental health among auto drivers, which would help improve their alertness and fitness while driving, thereby contributing to safer roads and potentially reducing road accidents.
He stated that the medical camps will be conducted soon at several locations across the city including Railway Station, Kancharapalem, Maddilapalem, PM Palem, Bheemili, Pendurthi, Gajuwaka, and Duvvada.
