Vizag police introduce QR Code system to track PVC status
The Visakhapatnam Police have launched a QR code-based system to help citizens track the status of their Police Verification Certificate (PVC) applications. This digital initiative aims to save applicants time by removing the need for repeated in-person visits to police offices.

In a first-of-its-kind development, the Visakhapatnam Police introduced a QR code-based facility to enable applicants to easily and transparently track the status of their Police Verification Certificate (PVC) applications, eliminating the need for repeated visits to police offices.
The facility has been developed under the direction of Visakhapatnam City Police Commissioner Shankabrata Bagchi, keeping in view the convenience of applicants seeking PVCs for employment in various State and Central Government defence establishments located in the city.
Addressing a press conference at the police conference hall in the city on Saturday, Mr Bagchi said that the City Special Branch (CSB) of the Visakhapatnam City Police is responsible for issuing Police Verification Certificates to private individuals who are required to undergo police verification for employment in defence establishments and other designated State and Central Government establishments.
