Vizag police arrest 84 persons, recover over ₹1 crore worth property
Visakhapatnam police arrested 84 individuals in June 2026 for various property offenses, recovering assets worth over ₹1 crore. The police also ramped up surveillance efforts by installing 203 CCTV cameras and conducting crime awareness meetings.

As many as 84 persons were arrested by the Visakhapatnam police for their allegedly involvement in 71 property offences in June 2026. The police also recovered property worth ₹39 lakh.
Addressing a press conference at the police conference hall on Monday, Commissioner of Police, Shankabratha Bagchi said that in June 2026, a total of 95 property offence cases were reported in the city. Special teams formed, used technical methods and detected 71 cases and arrested 84 offenders. Property worth ₹39.77 lakh was recovered. This apart, about 455 missing mobiles worth ₹68.25 lakh were also recovered. With this, property totalling to ₹1.08 crore was recovered.
