Vivek Alva to speak at international conference on environmental and nature management issues

M. Vivek Alva will represent India at an international BRICS conference in Russia to discuss environmental management and community-based conservation. His presentation will highlight successful initiatives in the Western Ghats and the role of youth in climate action.

Alva’s Education Foundation Managing Trustee M. Vivek Alva, along with five other subject experts from India, will participate in the Third International Conference on “Regional-Level Cooperation within BRICS Nations” in Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia, Russia, from Tuesday to Thursday.
The conference, themed “Modern Environmental and Nature Management Issues”, is being organised by the Karelian Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences in association with the Russian National Committee on BRICS Research, a release said.
The Indian delegation includes academics and researchers, namely, T.V. Ramachandra from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, H.R. Shwetha from NIT-K, Surathkal, Nagraj S. Patil from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Bharath from Chanakya University and Anand Deshpande, Principal, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management.
