The Vitla Pindi festivities, which are held a day after Krishna Janmashtami, concluded in a grand manner in Udupi on Saturday.
Various religious and cultural programmes, including Krishna Vesha Spardhe, were held on the Krishna Mutt premises on account of Krishna Janmashtami on Friday. On Saturday, many were seen in Udupi town visiting houses sporting ‘Huli vesha’ and other costumes. Many devotees visited the Krishna Mutt to witness the festivities related to Vitla Pindi on Saturday. Police had stepped up measures for crowd control and vigilance over the two days.
