VIT signs MoU with Columbia University on dual degree programme

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has signed a dual degree agreement with Columbia University, becoming the first Indian university to establish such a partnership. The program aims to provide engineering students with international academic pathways.

The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Columbia University (Columbia Engineering) New York, USA, on offering dual degrees.
According to a press release, the agreement was signed by G. Viswanathan, founder and Chancellor, VIT, and Sen. Soulaymane Kachani, Dean of Academic Affairs and Global Partnerships, Columbia University, in the presence of Binaya Srikanta Pradhan Consul General of India in New York, and G.V. Selvam, vice-president, VIT.
