Visakhapatnam district bags 10 Swachh Andhra awards

Ten institutions and individuals from Visakhapatnam district have been selected for the Swachh Andhra Awards 2026 in various categories. The awards will be presented in Vijayawada on Friday.
The awardees include the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) in the Swachha Municipalities and Swachha Government Institutions categories; ZPHS Chandrampalem in the Swachha Schools category; Community Health Centre(CHC), Pendurthi, and Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Chinnamusidivada, in the Swachha Hospitals category; and Dwaraka Bus Station in the Swachha Bus Stations category.
Chinnapuram Village Organisation has been selected in the Swachha Village Organisations category, while Y. Nagaraju of the GVMC West Zone has been selected in the Swachhata Warriors category. Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam, Simhachalam, and Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach have been selected in the Swachha Temples and Spiritual Institutions and Swachha Hotels categories, respectively.
