Visakhapatnam Collector inspects venues for BRICS Sports Ministers’ Meeting
Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore inspected venues to prepare for the upcoming BRICS Sports Ministers’ Meeting in 2026. The preparations include upgrading beach facilities and organizing cultural site visits for delegates.

District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Tuesday (August 18, 2026) inspected arrangements at venues proposed for the visit delegates attending the BRICS Sports Ministers’ Meeting-2026.
At Rushikonda Beach, where a high tea is scheduled, the Collector directed officials to ensure cleanliness and facilities conforming to international standards. He also asked them to maintain the beach in accordance with Blue Flag standards.
At the Thotlakonda Buddhist Complex, the Collector directed officials to install a welcome arch and banners, arrange a local guide to explain the site’s significance and organise a photo session. He also ordered that visitors not be allowed at the site on August 22 and that advance information be displayed.
