Visakha Government Degree College for Women hosted a two-day national workshop on quantum communication and emerging technologies. Experts from various universities discussed topics ranging from photonic quantum systems to post-quantum cryptography.

The Department of Physics, Visakha Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), organised a two-day National Science Academies Lecture Workshop on “Quantum Communication and Emerging Frontiers”, which concluded on Wednesday.
Prasant K. Panigrahi, Director, Centre for Quantum Science and Technology, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar, spoke on quantum technology and quantum science on the first day. Professors Krishnendu Sengupta, R.P. Singh and Y. Ramachandra were among the other speakers.
On Wednesday, resource persons Sushanta Kumar Pal and Suman Sau, both from Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, spoke on photonic quantum systems and post-quantum cryptography, respectively.
