Visa and Access Bank launch Visa Accept in Ghana

Visa and Access Bank have launched 'Visa Accept' in Ghana, a service allowing small businesses to accept contactless payments via smartphones. This initiative aims to reduce the reliance on expensive traditional point-of-sale hardware.

--> Visa and Access Bank (Ghana) Plc have launched the Visa Accept service in Ghana, enabling micro, nano and small businesses to accept contactless card payments directly on smartphones without additional equipment. MyJoyOnline reports.
To connect, a merchant must create a profile in the Access Bank mobile banking app. After that, they can start accepting payments within a few minutes. Customers will be able to pay using a contactless card or mobile wallet, scan a QR code, or use a secure payment link.
Funds will be credited to the merchant's existing bank account almost in real time. According to Visa, transactions will be protected in line with the company's standards and will include support for disputes and refunds.
