Virtual museum dedicated to Sri Aurobindo unveiled at Auroville to mark his 150th birth anniversary

A State-of-the-art virtual museum dedicated to Sri Aurobindo has been unveiled at India Space in Bharat NIvas in Auroville, as part of the nationwide commemoration of his 150th birth anniversary.

The project, a joint initiative of the Auroville Foundation, the Puducherry government and the Union Ministry of Culture, was executed by the Central Public Works Department.

According to a press note, a high-level delegation led by Puducherry Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan, Secretary to Puducherry government A. Muthamma, Auroville Foundation Officer on Special Duty G. Seetharaman, senior consultant Venugopal and members of the Auroville Town Development Council and Foundation staff inspected the facility on Thursday.

The core concept and narrative script of the virtual museum was conceptualised by Manoj Pavithran, a long-term Aurovilian, ensuring that the curation remains deeply rooted in the authentic spiritual ethos of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.
