Vinayaka Chaturthi exhibition at Poompuhar outlets in Erode
Poompuhar has launched a Vinayaka Chaturthi exhibition in Erode featuring a wide variety of Ganesha idols made from traditional materials. The initiative aims to support local artisans and promote traditional handicrafts ahead of the festival.

The Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation (Poompuhar) has organised a Vinayaka Chaturthi exhibition and sale at its outlet on Mettur Road in Erode.
The exhibition, inaugurated on Tuesday (September 8, 2026), will be open till September 19. A similar exhibition is held at Poompuhar’s branch outlet (Shop No. 1114) at Fortune City, formerly Texvalley Global Market, during the same period.
The exhibition features Ganesha idols made of panchaloha, brass, paper pulp, clay, black stone, sandalwood, white wood and crystal, among other materials. Thanjavur paintings and Ganesha idols made using art plates are also available. New varieties introduced this year include Creeping Vinayaka, Peacock Vinayaka, Nandi Vinayaka, Dancing Vinayaka and Music Vinayaka. The idols are priced between ₹150 and ₹1 lakh. A 10% discount is being offered on selected products.
