In a petition submitted to the district administration during the weekly grievances redress meeting on Monday (July 27, 2026), the villagers said they had earlier opposed the project through a representation submitted on May 26, 2025. The petition, signed by over 100 residents from more than 50 families, had resulted in the proposed works being kept in abeyance for some time. However, the residents said they had now learnt that efforts were under way to revive the project.
