BJP State president B.Y. Vijayendra and party MP Basavaraj Bommai led a huge protest march in Haveri on Thursday condemning the deterioration of law and order situation across the State, particularly in the district, and accused the State government of pursuing appeasement politics.
Participating in the protest march, which was taken out from Purasiddheshwar Temple to Mahatma Gandhi Circle in Haveri, and then addressing the protest meeting, the leaders said that it is because of the appeasement politics of the State government that Hindus are being subjected to a series of crimes, including brutal attacks and murders.
Hundreds of BJP workers and leaders took part in the protest march.
Speaking to presspersons, Mr. Vijayendra said that the minority appeasement policy followed by the present disposition has turned the State into a haven for communal forces as such groups are assured of protection from the Congress.
