Vijay apologises for T.N. Forest Minister’s remarks in Assembly

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay apologized to DMK members in the Assembly for certain remarks made by Forest Minister R.V. Ranjithkumar, specifically mentioning the late M. Karunanidhi. The Speaker, J.C.D. Prabhakar, had earlier expunged the Minister's controversial remarks.
Before Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay began making his announcements in the Assembly on Monday, he expressed regret to the DMK members over certain remarks made by Forest Minister R.V. Ranjithkumar. “Mentioning your leader’s name (late M. Karunanidhi) and speaking like that was wrong. On his behalf, I am saying sorry,” he said. Earlier, Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar expunged the remarks made by the Minister.
