UJJAIN: Police arrested a self-styled ‘Aghori’ on Tuesday for allegedly trespassing at a cremation ground and disturbing funeral rites after a video purportedly showing the accused consuming human flesh from a burning pyre went viral on social media.The accused, Kali alias Nand Giri, who claims to be a Mahamandaleshwar of the Kinnar Akhara, was arrested following a complaint by the Senapati Kaal Bhairav Committee at Jeevajiganj police station.Police said the video, allegedly filmed at the Chakratirth cremation ground under the Ujjain Municipal Corporation limits, surfaced on Instagram and was widely shared on Monday. In the purported footage, the accused is seen standing near a burning pyre with a sword and allegedly eating flesh from it.Station in-charge Prateek Sharma said the video came to the notice of police after it went viral.
