Link copied Share Share article Victoria's health minister has described an Optus outage that yesterday left dozens of callers struggling to get through to emergency services as "incredibly disappointing and unacceptable".
"It's the third time that we've have had an outage from either Optus or Telstra in the last 12 months," Ingrid Stitt said today.
"So we will be urgently taking up those issues with both the telcos, but also the Commonwealth."
Victoria Police has conducted dozens of welfare checks after yesterday's Optus outage, which led to some customers in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory experiencing intermittent call dropouts from about 1:30pm.
