This interaction highlights professional accountability and the collaborative nature of the Afrobeats music industry.
Afrobeats singer Victor Adere , popularly known as Victor AD, has publicly apologised to his senior colleague, Tiwa Savage, over an unreleased collaboration. In an open letter on his social media page, the singer took responsibility for his actions, admitting he should have addressed the issue sooner. Victor AD revealed that Tiwa Savage had blessed his hit single ‘Wetin We Gain’ with a verse, but unfortunately, the remix never saw the light of day. He noted that while he could give several reasons the song was never released, none of them outweighs the effort and creativity she put into it. “An Open Letter to Mama Jam Jam, @TiwaSavage, I should have done this a long time ago, but it’s never too late to take accountability for my actions. “Thank you, Mama, for blessing my song ‘Wetin We Gain’ with a verse.
