Vice-President launches ‘India Valve Registry’
Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan launched the 'India Valve Registry' to track and research valvular heart disease outcomes within the country. The initiative aims to improve patient care by generating localized clinical data and expanding access to advanced cardiac treatments.

Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Saturday (September 4, 2026) launched the “India Valve Registry”, a clinician-led, multicentre, patient-level and longitudinal research platform focused on valve disease and valve interventions.
The registry was launched during “India Valves 2026”, a national conference on valvular and structural heart disease being held in the city from September 4 to 6.
Mr. Radhakrishnan said that advances in cardiovascular medicine over the years have given hope to millions of people. Valvular and structural heart diseases are an important and growing challenge but at the same time, advances in medicine have transformed the manner in which the diseases are treated.
