Vellore International School U-15 inter-school football tournament to begin on August 31

The third edition of the Vellore International School U-15 Inter-School Football Tournament is set to begin on August 31 with 64 participating teams. The event aims to foster competitive sports culture among students across six districts in Tamil Nadu.

The third edition of the Vellore International School (VIS) U-15 Inter-School Football Tournament, organised in association with The Hindu , will begin on August 31, with 64 school teams from six districts taking part.
Teams from Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Vellore, Chengalpattu, and Tiruvannamalai will compete in the knock-out tournament.
The event will be inaugurated by Daisuke Korenaga, Chairman of Football Club Jurong, Singapore. The tournament aims to provide young footballers with a competitive platform while promoting school-level football in the region.
The opening fixtures will see KC High International School take on PAK Palanisamy Higher Secondary School, while B.V. Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram will face Chettinad Vidyashram.
