Vellappally Natesan slams Keralam Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan’s style of functioning, urges greater political maturity

SNDP Yogam leader Vellappally Natesan has criticized Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan for his perceived lack of political maturity and arrogant communication style. Natesan also commented on the state's administrative challenges, including electricity shortages and medicine supply issues.
Why it matters
The critique highlights shifting political alliances and public dissatisfaction with governance in Kerala, reflecting broader tensions between civil society leaders and the state administration.
Assessing the performance of the new government, Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan on Friday remarked that Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan needs to alter his style of functioning and exhibit greater maturity.
He pointed out that those who previously demanded a change in former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s demeanour now resorts to arrogant and disrespectful language, adding that Mr. Satheesan often forgets the dignity and stature associated with his position.
Lashing out at the Opposition, Mr. Natesan observed that while he was once praised by them, he has now become unpalatable to the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)]. Recalling past political dynamics, he noted that when the Sabarimala issue arose, the CPI(M) treated him with extreme importance.
