A vehicle catches fire on expressway / Screengrab
A vehicle was captured on fire along the Nairobi Expressway near the entry point from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
A video shared on social media shows the vehicle engulfed in flames as it was moving.
The social media user appealed to Sakaja, in his capacity as Nairobi governor, to facilitate an emergency response to the incident.
“We need an emergency firefighter now at Expressway. A high-end vehicle is on fire on the Expressway near the entry from JKIA,” the user said.
The user also urged motorists to keep fire extinguishers in their vehicles as a safety precaution.
