Veeramani’s drivers held on charges of abetment

Three drivers employed by industrialist Veeramani have been arrested by the Central Crime Branch for allegedly abetting sexual offences. The arrests follow an ongoing investigation into multiple cases filed against the industrialist involving the exploitation of minors.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Monday arrested three drivers working for Gem Granites Veeramani for alleged abetment in connection with the sexual offences cases against the industrialist, the police said.
Four cases had already been registered against Veeramani, and another case was registered on October 2. Investigation is under way in all five cases. During the investigation, the police identified Veeramani’s drivers — Lazar, Parthiban, and Babu — as allegedly having assisted him by bringing minor girls to him.
