Veeramani POCSO case: All-woman SIT formed to investigate against granite baron

CHENNAI: Chennai police have formed an all-woman four-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the child rape case against the granites baron, R Veeramani, and other associated issues.The SIT will be headed by additional commissioner of police PC Thenmozhi of the Central Crime Branch in Chennai city police. The other members are: Joint commissioner (west zone) N Disha Mittal, Superintendent of Police Mutharasi, who is spokesperson and media relations, and deputy commissioner of the Central Women and Children (CWC) unit Geethanjali.The team was formed as the investigation into the case expanded following the arrest of Veeramani and his associates.
