Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) founder and Chidambaram MP Thol. Thirumavalavan on Wednesday (September 30, 2026) urged the INDIA bloc leaders to consider pushing eight specific demands, including the reinstatement of the 13 crore voters deleted from the electoral rolls, the suspension of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, making public the social composition of the voters deleted, the resignation and arrest of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, and the withdrawal of the Chief Election Commissioner and Other Election Commissioners Act, 2023, besides making an announcement of a national-level agitation.
In his speech in New Delhi, Mr. Thirumavalavan said that the recent revelations of the objections raised by two Election Commissioners about the legality of the SIR process have created a “constitutional crisis”.
