VB-G RAM G will provide 125 days of work, ₹382 daily wage: Khandre
Minister Eshwar Khandre announced the VB-G RAM G scheme, which provides 125 days of employment to rural households at a daily wage of ₹382. The initiative aims to strengthen the economic condition of rural families while promoting health awareness among workers.
Why it matters
This scheme represents a significant government intervention to provide social security and financial stability to rural populations facing rising living costs.
Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Eshwar Khandre on Monday said the VB-G RAM G scheme will provide 125 days of employment to each household at a daily wage of ₹382, enabling a family to earn up to ₹47,750.
Speaking to workers during his visit to Karimuddanahalli village, where lake development work is being taken up under the scheme, Mr. Khandre said the scheme, which came into effect on July 1, would help provide employment and strengthen the economic condition of rural households.
He urged the workers to encourage others to register under the scheme and avail themselves of the employment opportunities.
Mr. Khandre also advised the workers to prioritise their health and visit health centres regularly for check-ups. He urged them to undergo health check-ups at least once a month and take the necessary steps to maintain their health.
