Vande Bharat Express runs ahead of schedule on second trial run from Bengaluru to Mangaluru on September 10
The South Western Railway successfully conducted a second trial run of the Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Mangaluru. The train arrived ahead of schedule, overcoming technical issues that hindered the previous attempt.

South Western Railway (SWR) conducted the second run time trial of a Vande Bharat Express rake between Bengaluru (Yesvantpur) and Mangaluru Junction on September 10. The first trial conducted on September 5 faced technical glitches resulting in a delay of about two hours in reaching Mangaluru Central.
This time, officials restricted the trial till Mangaluru Junction. In the first trial, the train was operated up to Mangaluru Central.

The train arrived at Subrahmanya Road at 12.22 pm instead of the scheduled 12.55 pm, and reached Mangaluru Junction at 1.55 pm, instead of the scheduled time of 2.50 pm.
The SWR had given 8 hours running time for the journey from Bengaluru to Mangaluru Junction. The return journey was given a run time of 7.20 hours.
