A senior official from the city traffic police said the deceased, Nagarajan, was a resident of Kamaraj Colony in Kodambakkam and was employed at a private company in Taramani. On Saturday, when Nagarajan was traveling on a two-wheeler for work-related purposes from Taramani towards Madhya Kailash on Rajiv Gandhi Salai, a van approaching from behind knocked him down. Nagarajan lost his balance and fell, resulting in severe head and body injuries. Immediately, the residents in the locality rushed him to a private hospital, but he died not responding to treatment.
