Government ministers observed the 155th birth anniversary of freedom fighter V. O. Chidambaram Pillai in Ottapidaram. The event included a floral tribute to his statue and an exhibition highlighting his contributions to the nation.

On occasion of V. O. Chidambaram Pillai’s 155th birth anniversary, Fisheries Minister A. Srinath and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister P. Mathan Raja on Saturday garlanded his statue at VOC house in Ottapidaram.
Speaking about the patriotism and sacrifices of V. O. Chidambaram Pillai, Mr. Raja said that he felt honoured to have garlanded the statue and pay homage to the great patriot on his birth anniversary.
Later, Ministers Mr. Srinath and Mr. Raja honoured U. Selvi, heir of V. O. Chidambram Pillai. The Ministers also viewed the photographs depicting the life and contributions of V. O. Chidambaram Pillai.
