Simphiwe (37), from Umthwalume on the KZN south coast, plays one of the lead characters on Mzansi’s most-watched soapie, Uzalo . His character, Pastor Sbu Makhathini, heals and comforts broken souls on screen — but now Simphiwe is healing himself.
Recently, he attended Bongiwe’s graduation ceremony when she obtained her diploma in hospitality management at the DUT graduations held at Olive Convention Centre in Durban on 25 May.
His attendance inspired many people to support their partners, little did they know this would be their last big celebration together.
