An SUV carrying the seer met with an accident near the Water Park on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway while he was traveling from Dharwad to Savanur in Haveri district. Some others, including Sri Shashidharacharya, were also injured in the incident. They were rushed to a private hospital in Hubballi.
Vidyadhishacharya Guttal, CEO of Uttaradi math , issued a clarification regarding the incident and appealed to devotees not to pay heed to the speculations circulating about the accident.
