The Mangaluru Rural police have arrested Zahiruddin, 24, a resident of Balrampur in Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the theft of articles worth ₹6.3 lakh from a house in Maryhill in the city.
Zahiruddin, who had come to the house along with other repairmen, made away with a 20-gram gold bracelet, 17-gram gold chain, 8-gram gold ring, 4-gram gold ring, and a gold coated wrist watch while roof-repair and other works were under way on July 6.
