Usher dreamed of L.A. Reid’s mansion at 13; bought it for $1.2m at 21

Some childhood dreams stay fantasies; Usher turned one into reality. At 13, Usher had already formed a connection with a mansion he would eventually call his own. In 1991, the future R&B superstar visited music producer L.A. Reid’s home in Alpharetta, Georgia, and was captivated by the property. Years later, Usher recalled on BET’s show How I’m Living that he walked through the house and thought he wanted to own it one day.
