A Chief Magistrate's Court in Gombe has remanded the principal and a teacher of Destiny Treasure International School, Arawa Quarters, Gombe, at the Medium Security Custodial Centre, over alleged sexual assault of a six-year-old pupil.
The court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Hamaira Bema Demba, ordered the remand of the defendants pending judgment.
According to the prosecution, sometime in July 2026, a class teacher identified as Eleazer Yila sexually assaulted the six-year-old pupil.
The prosecution told the court that the incident came to light after the child disclosed it to her mother, Mrs. Saratu Emmanuel.
