US Supreme Court rejects Trump-backed Missouri congressional map for third time

The US Supreme Court on Friday rejected an attempt to use a new Missouri congressional map backed by President Donald Trump, potentially bringing an end to a long-running redistricting dispute as absentee voting gets underway in the state.The justices halted a ruling by a federal appeals court that would have revived the Republican-friendly map for the November midterm elections, which will determine control of Congress.The Supreme Court instead allowed a decision by the Missouri Supreme Court to stand.
